Cold Chain ManagementEnd to End Visibility
iPIMM™ CCM provides “end to end visibility” for your cold chain. The system monitors, analyzes and manages the entire distribution process from supplier plants, 3rd party carriers, 3rd party cold storage/distribution centers, outbound delivery fleet and in-store cold storage.
iPIMM™ CCM collects and analyzes valuable cold storage information and shares any/all relevant corrective actions with the appropriate supply chain partners. Real-time process management allows for a more effective cold chain process which extends “shelf life”, reduces rejections/returns, improves quality and enhances customer satisfaction at all levels.
PIMM™ PPT – Projected Product Temperatures
END to END QUALITY CONTROL & VISIBILITY
Over the past many years, Procuro has worked with many customers in the food and pharma industries to determine the best way to measure and manage product temperatures. This work led us to use a globally accepted process of measuring temperature variation (“mean kinetic temperature”), that provides a “Projected Product Temperature” (PPT) based upon the normal fluctuation of environmental conditions, i.e. Cold Storage, Staging, Transport and Delivery.
The PIMM™ PPT is now available on all aspects of the cold chain distribution process including but not limited to:
PIMM™ SuD Supplier Delivery
- Calculating the PPT on shipments from Plant to Cold Storage
PIMM™ FMS Facility Mgmt. System
- Calculating the PPT on products being stored at Cold Storage
PIMM™ RMS Route Mgmt. System
- Calculating the PPT on deliveries from Cold Storage to Retail Stores/Restaurants
PIMM™ SMS Store Mgmt. System
- Calculating the PPT on products being stored in local refrigeration systems i.e. Walk-ins
Procuro is dedicated to working with our customers to provide “End to End Quality Control & Visibility” and using the PIMM™ PPT to more accurately access the thermal condition of each and every product.
MAXIMIZING SHELF LIFE
PIMM™ PPT is also a very important component of determining the “Expected Shelf Life” (ESL) for food products. Procuro’s is also working on R&D efforts to apply our PIMM™ PPT results against vendor product specifications which will us to recalculate the ESL at the various stages or exchange points during the distribution process.
